Media Is The Grim Reaper Of Our Economy

Our economy is in a terrible state. Our media is constantly reporting that the economy is going fall apart and people should save their money. What does this cause? People not to spend. When people don't spend money, others don't make money and they loose their jobs. This continues until the unemployment is at a massive size. This is simple economics. If the media would report this, then the uninformed will be informed. Why don't they do this? If they did people would be relieved and not worried and not pay desperate attention to the media to see if the economy changed. All this reporting makes everything work and cause this problem to spiral.

Many Fast Food Customers are rude

I work in fast food. It is not rare to have a customer flipping shit over a slice of cheese shifted to the side of thier sandwich or a 24-hour drive thru that closes for 20 minutes to reboot thier system. And these problems are not dealt rationally by these customers, unless you call threats or throwing fish around rational. Why do people have to be like this? These people think that your job is easy and your an idiot if you screw it up. Sorry but if you have 5 cars in drive thru at 4 in the morning it's not going to be only a five minute order. It could take 15 minutes because who has 8 pieces of egg reasy at 4 in the morning when a lady orders 8 EGG SANWICHES! How bought these people try doing 5 orders at once well being bitched at by hungry and rude people who tend to be also drunk depending on the time of the week and the time of the night. I am not saying that no one has the right to be angry. Sometimes it happens that it's laziness that causes a late order. But a lot of the time it's the fact that the grill cook has like 5 orders to do and the cashiers waiting on all. My advice to you all is when you go to a fast food joint please be patient and understanding.

Canadian Monarchy Has To Go

In our current Governemnt today there are many flaws. Our “Honourable” Prime Minister and his MP’s are holding onto a goverment by string while our economy is crumbiling into bits. The recent attempt to take down the government and form a coalition has failed and this is because of the Monarchy of Canada. We still are techinically ruled by a Queen and her Governer-General. Most of the decisions they make are really those of our Prime Minister. The unsettling part of it all is that our Govener General can decide to dissolve or prolonge government and if she doesn’t then our Prime Minister can ask for her to be fired if he chooses and then the Queen is all but forced to obey. We still need a Govenor-General who can only step down once they choose to after they are appointed and only have authority over parlimentary procedures like dissolution and prolonging, but have a written document to follow on these procedures and not make them up on the fly. If we want a better chance to survive this reccesion, we need to get rid of the Queen.

Stephen Harper a pessimist? Really?

After Harper’s recent pessimistic comments and the fear he has put in people about our rocky economy. Now he is being called a pessimist. Really. People are just realising this now? Have you ever really seen Harper talk optimistically? He might says the words but have you evwer heard him with an optimistic voice and appearance. Not always. But then why has he said optimistic things in the past? It’s called speech writers. It’s not the time to talk about how worried you are when our economy is in ruins. All it does is furtherly projecting fears into the already petrified citizens of Canada. We need a leader who will lead our country and not change his views in one month, now that he’s in the clear from a coalition government for now.

Jay Leno in Primetime = Desperation

NBC is in shambles. Monday nights consist of 3 "action packed" shows who recently pulled combined ratings of around 18.7 Million people which is what Dancing With The Stars gets in an episode. Tuesday nights are decent with The Biggest Loser and L & O: SVU. Wednesday consists of Knight Rider, which is an attempt of bringing back the ratings of the past with another remake, Life, wich seems to have nine of them, and Law & Order, one of the few shows that seems to keep decent ratings sometimes. Thursday night consits of comedys that are quality but not in the ratings as well as ER, which is at it's end. Friday and Saturday nights are so horid that the're not worth talking about. Sunday nights of football are strong in the ratings but once football's gone it's not worth talking about. So what is NBC's plan to save the network? Jay Leno 5 nights a week. Ratings are so sad for NBC that it's late night programming is countending and even beating some of NBC's primetime show. So are NBC so desperate that they need Jay Leno tosave there primetime programming. I certainly think so.

The Coalition is getting stronger!!!

I might be biased. I am a Green Party Member and they have recently supported the coalition, but I believe that this coalition will save our economy. Mr. Harper does not seem to care about our country but just the title that comes with his job. Now that Mr. Ignatieff is the clear leader of the Liberals there is no more Stephane Dion getting in the way. This means that the coalition will have a strong obvious leader. Bye Bye PM Harper. Your days are numbered as our Prime Minister!!!

A Coalition government is Legal so can we as a nation accept it and what our representatives do.

I may only be 17. I may be only an average Grade 12 student in a small Canadian city. But I can't help but believe that I know more about politics then the majority of the country, and no offense to others. When news about the coalition started spreading across the country, people became outragged saying that it's unfair and un-democratic and should not be done. Has anyone ever taken History or Civics in high school? I know that in my Grade 10 year i was taught that a coalition was democratic, legal and HAS been done in our lovely country of CANADA before. Has anyone ever heard of the King-Byng Affair? Wikipedia it if you don't. It may be our last coalition government and occured over 80 years ago but it's still apart of our country. Some argue that we elected Stephen Harper so he should be Prime Minister. The problem with that is he did not obtain 50% of the vote or the number of seats required for a majority so why doesn't the majority of Canadians let our ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES make decisions without us complaining about them in paper and to our friends. Stephen Harper is a hipocrit. If he didn't try to make this country a one party country and not offer a stimulus package with our economy being held up by the rotten supports of the U.S. economy then this attempt of a coalition would of never happened. AND Stephen Harper himself has tried to form a coalition in the past when Paul Martin and the Liberals held a minority government. This attempt failed. Could Harper be jealous because Dion and Layton have the brains to form a coalition? Wouldn't suprise me. And what is with reports that Harper might ask the Queen to "fire" the Governer-General? Is this a democracy or a communistic country?
